What's new...

Time since April 19th has been flying by! May was primarily taken up with preparing to move, learning how to handle two children, and several trips into Michigan to explore the area and search for a new home. Since June 1st, Ry has driven up to Spring Arbor to work during the week and returned home on the weekends. A trip to Montana for leadership training with the rest of the athletic department in mid June meant I spent quite a bit of time as a single Mom. The girls and I lived for the weekends when Ryan was able to come home and be with us. Finally, on June 26th we moved from our home of 7 1/2 months to Spring Arbor, Michigan. It's been an exciting time... and tomorrow we plan to close on our first home. We feel so blessed in all that God has provided during this time and feel assured that Spring Arbor is where He wants us to be! Finally, we can recycle the moving boxes that we have kept with each move... even the ones we have held on to when we first moved six years ago shortly after we were married.

We are now living amidst unpacked boxes and quite a bit of drywall dust. The home we are buying was built around 1970, but was recently renovated which has led to quite a bit of cleaning. Despite cleaning up dust, we are excited about where we are living and particularly that we were able to buy a home where we have room to grow and where the girls can roam.

Little Belle began sleeping through the night at exactly six weeks. I think since that time she has had two nights of interrupted sleep and that's it! We feel so well rested... and very fortunate! Campbelle had her two month visit yesterday and her first round of vaccinations. She is now 12 pounds 13 ounces (80%) and 22 1/4 inches (25%). She seems to be following her big sister in her growing pattern and looks quite a bit like her! Ryan and I often feel like we are looking at Bria all over again. Campbelle is full of smiles and so interactive. She loves to sit up and watch what is going on around her. Recently, her favorite trick is to pull in her knees and tuck her chin when we ask if she is ready for baby exercise time and pull on her hands to sit her up. It's a great game for both of us!

Little Bug has become quite the sprite. She is incredibly energetic and loves her baby sister. Since Campbelle was born we have had very few issues with sibling rivalry. Bria is all too ready to protect her sister if someone is too close to Belle or tries to touch her. We hope her fondness for Campbelle continues as they grow older. Bria also has become our little parrot. She has an incredible vocabulary and constantly picks up new words Ryan and I use in conversation with each other. It definitely makes us even more conscious of the things that we say. She recently learned our new address before we even moved... I'd say she is a smart cookie! Currently, her favorite activities include dancing to her "panpino" (piano) and wearing "dancing skirts." We usually end up dancing to the Hokey Pokey. She loves snuggles and we are cherishing watching all that she is absorbing as she grows older. Nearly every night Ryan tells her the story of Noah, which has become her favorite. She has heard it so many times that Ryan will leave words out and she fills them in. I treasure these moments and love the memories I already have of listening to the two of them telling the story of Noah over and over again.

Other than becoming homeowners and a family of four not much has been going on. We celebrated six years of marriage June 11 with a family outing since Ryan had been gone so much. It wasn't quite the romantic anniversary get away we usually go for, but wonderful to all be together after so much time apart. For now we are settling in, making new friends and unpacking boxes. So much change but God is good... we have come so far since closing chapters of our story in Fredericktown and Marion! We can't wait to see what God has in store for us here.
